His Excellency the Provisional Governor of Græcia, Quintus De Vitaliis, has issued the following statement; "We as a provisional microstate respect the culture of Hellas that eventually gave birth to our cause, but from now on it is our duty to form our unique identity. Therefore, we will be announcing the names of the days of the week and the months this afternoon, on (AUC) 2773.08.21 not only in English, but also in the three official languages of our state; Hellenic, Neoclassical Latin and South Ruthenian".
There was speculation that the month names would be derived from the roughly equivalent Ancient Hellenic months, although these rumours were dismissed by government officials as "too obvious". Furthermore, it is rumoured that the deities of Græcian paganism will be given names in Latin and South Ruthenian, in order to fit the needs of the so called "elite" of each Borough. This piece of information was partially confirmed by a Slavophone High Priest of the Moon goddess who, in his own words "is looking forward to preaching his religion in his native language".
